Biography

Trained as a marine biologist and worked as a fish farmer in the Isle of Man, West coast of Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, South Wales, the Falkland Islands and Chile. Now living in Scotland.

I use different types of camera, lenses, film and processes, both traditional and modern; depending upon the image I’m after: 5” x 4” film camera, Mamiya 7 and leica rangefinders or occasionally a Canon digital camera.

Influences include Aubrey Beardsley, Turner, Art Nouveau, Sonic Youth, Expressionism and American Photographers such as William Eggleston and Alec Soth.
